One Month of Andrew Choong Vascular Surgery — Thank You for Your Support

One month ago, I opened the doors to Andrew Choong Vascular Surgery at Mount Elizabeth Novena Specialist Centre in Singapore.

Opening a new specialist practice has been one of the most exciting and rewarding milestones of my career. It has also been one of the busiest. Alongside caring for patients, we’ve been building the clinic from the ground up—assembling a wonderful team, establishing our clinical systems and workflows, and ensuring every aspect of the patient experience reflects the standard of care we aspire to provide.

I wanted to take this opportunity to simply say thank you.

To my patients and their families, thank you for placing your trust in me. To the GPs, specialists and healthcare professionals who have referred patients and supported the clinic, thank you for your confidence. And to my friends and family, thank you for your encouragement, kind words and unwavering support throughout this journey.

Over the past month, it has been a privilege to care for patients with a wide range of vascular conditions, including varicose veins, peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, dialysis access problems, deep vein thrombosis and many other arterial and venous conditions.

Some of you may have noticed that I have been quieter than usual on social media. The reason is simple: my focus has been on building the foundations of the clinic and providing the very best care to every patient who walks through our doors.

Now that the clinic is beginning to find its rhythm, I’m looking forward to returning to regular educational content.

Over the coming months I’ll be sharing practical, evidence-based information about vascular health, helping patients better understand symptoms such as leg swelling, poor circulation, varicose veins, blood clots, aneurysms and carotid disease. My hope is that these videos and articles will help people recognise when a problem may be serious, understand the treatment options available, and know when it is appropriate to seek specialist advice.

Thank you once again for making our first month such a memorable one. I am genuinely grateful for the trust and support you’ve shown Andrew Choong Vascular Surgery, and I look forward to continuing to care for patients from Singapore and across the region for many years to come.
