In 2016, the Ministry of Health, Singapore, announced a “War on Diabetes”. Click here for more information. Diabetic limb salvage, peripheral vascular disease and complex lower limb intervention are of utmost importance in Andrew’s practice. His research into leg and foot complications of diabetics and amputations, specific to Singapore, was highlighted and featured by Channel News Asia. Andrew was asked to comment on the impact of amputation in particular. Andrew’s take home message is that “prevention and early surveillance are far better than having to manage limb amputation in the first place”.
