Preparing existing reports and scans
Contact the clinic before sending medical documents and ask which records and transfer method to use. Existing specialist letters, scan reports, actual imaging and records of previous procedures may help organise your assessment. Please do not post identity documents or medical records in public comments or website chat widgets.
Aortic assessment and second opinions
For an aortic aneurysm or dissection, ask whether existing CT images, scan reports and records of earlier aortic procedures would be useful. The images and the written report provide different information. Do not arrange an additional scan solely because of this guide; the appropriate investigation depends on medical assessment.
Leg circulation, wounds and vein problems
Ask which previous scans, treatment records and medication information to prepare for peripheral arterial disease, a non-healing wound, varicose veins or DVT. A photograph cannot establish blood flow or replace a clinical examination. Worsening or urgent symptoms need prompt local assessment.

Planning a consultation from overseas
Patients considering travel from Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh or elsewhere can enquire about vascular assessment in Singapore. Tell the clinic where you are currently based, your preferred language and your intended appointment period.
Before booking travel
Confirm the appointment process and how to provide existing records. Ask whether more information is needed, which hospital might be involved if treatment is recommended, and what costs can be estimated at each stage. An enquiry does not confirm suitability for surgery. Do not book travel on the assumption that a particular procedure will be offered.
Length of stay and follow-up
Consultation, investigations, treatment and recovery have different timelines. The required stay, fitness to fly and follow-up arrangements depend on the diagnosis and proposed care. Ask for individual advice and discuss how information can be shared with your doctor at home.
Language and communication
Tell the clinic your preferred language when you enquire. Automated website translation is a reading aid; clarify medical instructions and consent with the clinical team before making a treatment decision.
Self-payment, estimates and insurance
You can enquire about self-paying for a consultation or treatment. Ask which charges relate to the consultation, tests, surgeon, anaesthetist, hospital stay, devices and follow-up, and what an estimate includes or excludes. Costs depend on the clinical plan and can change if additional care is needed.

Common questions
Can I ask about a second opinion before travelling?
Yes. Contact the clinic to ask about the process and information needed. Arranging an appointment or checking administrative details is separate from a formal medical consultation.
Can I book surgery with my first enquiry?
An enquiry starts the assessment process. A treatment recommendation follows review of the diagnosis, imaging, alternatives, risks and your individual circumstances and preferences.
Can I obtain a fixed price from a message or photograph?
A useful estimate depends on the clinical information and proposed care. Ask what can be estimated before consultation and what remains dependent on assessment.
